i've been absent.

two people have asked me why i haven't updated. i'm not sure why. partly because i didn't have time for a while with buying a house. partly because i'm lazy. and partly because i didn't feel motivated to write about anything.

i've been in a funk and because two people actually cared to ask me why i haven't updated, a spark has been lit and i will get motivated.

i'm making pork rillettes now, recipe courtesy of m.ruhlman and b.polcyn. i haven't made anything from their charcuterie book yet, so i'll try to document as i go.

cavin is also making beef jerky so i'll keep everyone posted.
